Ingredients :

Suvarotti Manneeral Cashews Gravy
Suvarotti | Manneeral - 1 no (large, 1" size chopped)
Cashews - 1\4 cup
Cinnamon Stick - 2" long
Cloves - 3 nos
Shallots | Small Onion - 1\2 cup (chopped)
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Small Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
Gingelly | Sesame Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Preparation:

  • Soak the cashews with 1\2 cup of hot water for about 30minutes, then grind into fine paste with required water and keep aside. (Image 1 and 2)

  • Heat the oil in a pressure cooker pan and roast the cinnamon stick and cloves. (Image 3)
  • Add the shallots and saute until the shallots turn slightly golden colour. (Image 4)

  • Add the ginger garlic paste and stir till its raw smell leaves completely. (Image 5)
  • Add the tomato and saute until soft. (Image 6)
  • Add the suvarotti | manneeral pieces and stir for an minute. (Image 7)
  • Add the red chili powder, cumin seeds powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder and required salt, stir for few seconds. (Image 8)

  • Add the cashew paste and mix well. (Image 9)
  • Add a cup of water, mix well and bring to boil. (Image 10)
  • Cover and pressure cook for an whistle and 3minutes over simmer. When all the steam has released, open the pan. Finally add the coriander leaves, mix well and ready to serve. (Image 11 and 12)
