Ingredients :

Mutton | Goat Meat - 250 gm (washed)
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 tbsp
Large Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Sambar Onion | Shallots - 1\2 cup
Ginger Garlic - 1 tsp
Small Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Red Chili Powder - 1\2 tsp
Coriander Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1\4 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Idlitha Vengayam Mutton Kuzhambu:

  • Dry roast the pepper and cumin seeds powder. Then cool them, grind into fine powder and keep aside. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Smash the shallots | sambar onion and keep aside. (Image 3)

  • To make the curry, heat the oil in a pressure cooker pan, add the onion and saute until the onion turns slightly golden colour. (Image 4)
  • Add the smashed shallots and again saute until them turns slightly golden colour. (Image 5)
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for an minute. (Image 6)
  • Add the mutton pieces, saute till the meat colour change. (Image 7)

  • Add the tomato and saute until the tomato turns soft. (Image 8)
  • Add the red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and required salt, stir for few seconds. (Image 9)
  • Add one and half cup of water, mix well and bring to boil. (Image 10)
  • Then cover and pressure cook for an whistle and 20 minutes over simmer. When all the steam has released, open the pan. (Image 11)
  • Finally add the roasted and powdered pepper-cumin seeds powder, mix well and ready to serve. (Image 12 and 13)
