Ingredients :

Sheela Meen | Barracuda Fish - 8 to 10 pieces
Lemon Juice - 1\2 no
Red Chili Powder - 1 and 1\2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp + 1\2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Corn Flour - 1\4 cup
Maida - 1\4 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp + extra
Salt to Taste.

Steps To Make The Sheela Meen Varuval | Barracuda Fish Fry :

  • First marinate the fish pieces with the lemon juice for 10minutes. (Image 1)
  • To make the masala, combine the red chili powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder and required salt. Then add the oil to make the masala paste. Then add the fish pieces into the masala's, mix well and marinate for 30minutes. (Image 2, 3 and 4)

  • Separately mix the corn flour, maida, 1\2 tsp pepper and some salt on a plate. Then coat the flour mixture on the fish pieces. (Image 5)
  • Shallow fry the fish pieces until golden brown on both sides and ready to serve. (Image 6 and 7)
