Ingredients :

Crab | Nandu - 5 nos
Ripened Green Chili - 4 to 5 nos
Cashews - 1\4 cup
Cloves - 3 no
Cinnamon Stick - 2" long
Ginger - 1" long
Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves
Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp
Butter or Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt To Taste

Method :

Steps To Make The Crab Chili Cashews Curry | Nandu Kuzhambu:

  • To make the cashews paste, soak the cashews in the hot water for about 30minutes and then grind into fine paste, keep aside. (Image 1 and 2)
  • To make the crab curry, first coarsely grind the chili, cloves, cinnamon stick, ginger and garlic. (Image 3 and 4)

  • Heat the butter in a kadhai and add the ground chili mixture, stir for few seconds. (Image 5)
  • Add the crab pieces and saute for an minute. (Image 6)
  • Add the coconut milk and required salt, mix well. Cover and cook for about seven minutes, also stir in between. (Image 7 and 8)

  • Add the cashew paste, mix well and cook for about 5mins. (Image 9)
  • Finally add the cumin seeds powder and pepper powder, mix well and ready to serve. (Image 10 and 11)
