Ingredients :

Carrot - 1\4 cup (finely chopped)
Beans - 1\4 cup (finely chopped)
Cabbage - 1\4 cup (finely chopped)
Ginger - 1"
Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves
Green Chili - 1 or 2 no
Butter - 1 tbsp
Cooking Soda - 2 pinch
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Fennel Seeds - 1\2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1\2 tsp
Asafoetida - 1\4 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Kadalai Maavu | Besan Flour - 1\4 cup
Rice Flour - 1\8 cup
Oil for deep fry
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Mixed Vegetables Bonda:

  • First grind the ginger, garlic and green chili into fine paste with some water and keep aside. (Image 1 and 2)
  • To make the bonda mixture, in a mixing bowl, add the melted butter, cooking soda and required salt, mix well altogether. (Image 3)
  • Add the ground ginger-garlic mixture and mix well. (Image 4)

  • Add the carrot, beans, cabbage, onion, coriander leaves, cumin seeds and fennel seeds, mix well. (Image 5)
  • Then add the besan flour, rice flour and asafoetida, again mix well. (Image 6)
  • Add required water and mix into dough. (Image 7)
  • Make small balls out of the dough and keep aside. (Image 8)

  • Heat enough oil in a kadhai and deep fry the bonda until golden brown colour. (Image 9)
  • Serve hot.
