Ingredients :

Thinai Fruits Paniyaram
Thinai Arisi | Foxtail Millet - 1 cup
Jaggery | Vellam - 1\2 cup
Cashew - 10 no
Raisins - 1 tbsp
Apple - 1\2 no
Jack Fruit - 2 no
Banana - 1\2 no
Cooking Soda - 1\8 tsp
Cardamom - 2 no (crushed)
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Oil to deep fry.

Method :
Thinai Fruits Paniyaram

Steps To Make The Thinai Fruits Paniyaram :

  • Preparation, wash and soak the thinai arisi for an hour. (Image 1) 
  • To make the jaggery syrup, heat the jaggery and quarter cup of water, cook till its dissolved, cool and keep aside. (Image 2 and 3)
  • Grind the soaked thinai arisi into thick and fine paste. Keep aside. (Image 4)

  • Ghee roast the cashew and raisins, keep aside. (Image 5)
  • Chop the apple and jack fruit into small pieces. And smash the banana and keep them all aside. (Image 6)
  • To make the thinai fruits paniyaram batter, mix the ground thinai arisi, filtered jaggery syrup and cooking soda in a bowl. (Image 7 and 8)
  • Add all the fruits and crushed cardamom, mix well. (Image 9 and 10)
Thinai Fruits Paniyaram
  • Heat enough oil , make paniyaram and cook on both side till golden colour. (Image 11)
  • Remove excess oil with tissue paper and serve immediately. (Image 12)
