Steps To Make The Pagarkai | Bitter gourd Vathal:First wash and thinly slice the bitter gourd, keep aside. Heat 1 and 1\2 cup of water, add the turmeric powder and salt, mix well and bring to boil. Then add the sliced bitter gourd and cook for 2 to 3mins or till half cook. Cool the bitter gourd completely. |
To dry, drain the water and arrange the bitter gourd on plate. Then sun dry for 3 to 4 days till crispy. Deep fry required vathal in the oil and serve. Store the sun dried vathal in a plastic cover, then store in a box. |
