Aattu Moolai Saadam | Mutton Moolai Podimas Rice | Goat Brain Rice is made from the fresh moolai and simple ingredients. This dish is similarly like egg podimas rice, but it is more tastier than the egg rice. Now lets see how to make this aattu moolai saadam recipe with easy step by step images and instructions.


Ingredients :

Aattu Moolai | Mutton Brain - 2 no (cut into small pieces)
Cooked Rice - 2 cups (+ or -)
Ginger - 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Garlic - 1 and 1\2 tsp (finely chopped)
Green Chili - 1 or 2 no (finely chopped)
Shallots - 1\2 cup (finely chopped)
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Oil - 1 tbsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Salt to Taste.

Steps To Make The Aattu Moolai Saadam | Mutton Brain Rice:

Heat the oil and butter in a kadhai, stir in the ginger, garlic and green chili till its raw smell leaves, add the shallots and curry leaves, saute till the shallots turn slightly golden colour. Add the moolai and turmeric powder, mix and make podimas. Add required salt and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes over medium flame.

Add the cumin seeds powder and pepper powder, mix well and cook for an minute. Add the coriander leaves and mix well. Finally add the cooked rice, mix well and ready to serve.

My Notes: Brain cooks fast and also its not required water to cook.
Serving Suggestion: Serve the attu moolai saadam with the fried egg or fried chicken.
