Bhel Puri | Homemade Easy Bhel Puri With Papdi Recipe, Mumbai street food bhel puri is a very popular recipe in all over India and also in many countries. I had this first time at Ananda Bhavan, almost 12years back, still it is one of my favorite chat. It is hot, tangy, spicy taste and crunchy texture. Papdi is not available at most of shops. So I tried to make it at home, it also turned out perfectly. If you prepared all the ingredients like papdi, chopped onion, tomato, dates-tamarind chutney, green chutney means, then just mix all together with pori and serve immediately. Now lets see how to make this bhel puri and papdi recipe with easy step by step images and instructions.

For Papadi:

Maida - 1 cup
Butter - 2 tsp
Ommam - 1 tsp
Salt To Taste
Waster - required
Oil - deep fry

For Bhel Puri:

Pori | Puffed Rice - 3 to 3 and 1\2 cup
Onion - 1\2 no (finely chopped)
Bangalore Tomato - 1\2 no (finely chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Black Salt - 3\4 tsp
Chat Masala - 3\4 tsp
Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1\2 no
Sev - 1\4 cup
Roasted Peanuts - 1\4 cup
Dates Tamarind Chutney - 1\4 cup
Green Chutney - 1\4 cup
Salt To Taste.

Steps To Make The Bhel Puri With Papdi Recipe:

To make the papadi dough, mix the maida, butter, ommam and required salt in a mixing bowl. Then add the required water and knead into soft dough. Rest the dough for ten minutes. Divide the dough into small balls, roll into thin circle and make more holes with fork. Then deep fry in the oil till golden brown colour and the papdi is ready to make the bhel puri.

To make the bhel puri, take a mixing bowl, break the 5 to 6 prepared papadi into the bowl. Add the onion, tomato, coriander leaves, black salt, chat masala, cumin seeds powder, lemon juice, sev, peanuts, dates-tamarind chutney, green chutney and salt to taste. Then add the pori and mix well altogether. Now the bhel puri is ready.

My Notes: Add all the masala, chutney and other ingredients as per your taste.
Serving Suggestion: Serve the bhel puri immediately with some sev on top.
