Their are different colours and layers of chembaruthi's available like pink, yellow, orange, mixed colours and many more. For this dish we need only five petals red colour flower only. It has more medical values. But it is not advisable to take regularly. To make this chembaruthi sarbath we need just five ingredients only, they are fresh chembaruthi poo | hibiscus flowers, sugar, lemon juice, cardamom and water. Ingredients :

Fresh Chembaruthi Poo | Five Petal Hibiscus Flower - 15 to 18 no
Sugar - 2 and 1\2 cups
Water - 1 and 1\2 cups
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1\2 cup
Method :
Preparation, Remove the maragatham ( center part ) and stem from all the hibiscus. We need petals only. Wash the petals and drain the water completely.
To make the chembaruthi poo sarbath, heat the sugar and water in a pan, bring to boil and cook for an minute. Lower the flame, add the petals and cardamom powder, mix well. Cover and cook for an minute. Remove from the flame, filter the syrup and discard the flowers. Add the lemon juice, mix well and cool completely. And the sarbath is ready.
To make the sarbath, take a tumbler or glass, add quarter cup of chembaruthi sarbath syrup, 3\4 cup of water (+ or -) and some ice cubes. Mix well and serve.
Notes: Use five petals hisbisus and red colour only. Don't forget to remove the center part ( maragatham ) and stem from each flower. Wash the petals well and then use. For this sarbath, syrup consistency is not required. Just make sugar syrup and ensure that the sugar is dissolved completely. Don't add the lemon juice while too hot. Cool the sarbath completely and store in refrigerator.

Preparation, how to use chembaruthi poo to make the sarbath, must remove the center part maragatham and the lower stem part. We need only petals, so discard the maragatham and stem. Then wash the chembaruthi petals, drain the water well and keep aside.

To make the sarbath, heat the sugar and water in a pan, mix and bring to boil. Boil the syrup for an minute. Ensure that the sugar is dissolved completely. Also the sugar syrup consistency is not required.

Lower the flame, add the prepared petals into sugar syrup and cardamom powder, mix well. Cover with lid and cook for an minute. Don't cook more time.

In the above image, you can see the flower color is moved into the syrup. Then remove from the flame and filter the syrup. Discard the petals.

Add the lemon juice into the syrup and mix well. Cool the syrup and refrigerate it. Now the chembaruthi poo sarbath syrup is ready.

To make the chembaruthi sarbath, take a glass, add 1\4 cup of prepared chembaruthi sarbath syrup, add 3\4 cup of water, some ice cubes, mix well and serve.

Serving Suggestion: Instead of water, you can also use soda water.
