Dry Yeast - 2 tsp |
Sugar - 1 tbsp |
Maida Flour - 2 cup |
Butter - 2 tbsp |
Crushed Garlic - 1 tbsp |
Chicken - 300 gm (1\2", boneless) |
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp |
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1 tsp |
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp |
Chili Flakes - 1 tsp |
Salt - as required |
Olives - 2 tbsp (chopped, optional) |
Mozzarella Cheese - required |
Oil - grease |
Milk - to brush on top |
Method : |
To activate the dry yeast, mix quarter cup of lukewarm water, yeast and sugar in a bowl, mix well, cover and set aside for 10mins. |
To make the bun dough, mix the maida and required salt in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and required water, knead into soft dough. |
Grease the bowl and dough with some oil. Cover with wet cloth, set in a warm place for thirty to forty minutes or until double the size. |
To make the chicken masala, heat the butter in a kadai, stir in the garlic for few seconds. Add the chicken pieces and cook for an minute. Add the pepper powder, cumin seeds powder, turmeric powder, required salt and chili flakes. Mix well and cook over medium-low flame for about five minutes or until done. Add the olives and mix them. Cool the chicken masala to stuff and keep aside. |
To make the chicken cheese bun, punch the dough gently and divide into eight equal parts. Take one part of dough, stretch into small circle, stuff some chicken masala and cheese, cover all the sides well. Do the same for the remaining dough. |
Grease a 8" baking tin, arrange the chicken stuffed dough, cover with wet cloth and set in a warm place for about thirty to forty minutes. Brush some milk on top gently. |
Preheat the oven to 220 degree Celsius and bake for fifteen to eighteen minutes or until the top turns golden colour. |
Notes: Always activate the yeast and then use. If the dough is not raised well means it will turns hard after baking. |

Do the same for the remaining dough. Arrange the chicken dough on a greased baking tin. |
Cover with wet cloth and set aside for about 30 to 40mins or until double the size. |
Preheat the oven to 220 degree Celsius. Then gently brush the milk on top. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the top turns golden colour. |
