Mushrooms - 200 gm (quarter) |
Fresh Peas - 1\2 cup |
Basmathi Rice - 1 and 1\2 cup |
Ghee or Butter - 2 tbsp |
Cinnamon Stick - 2" |
Cloves - 5 no |
Garlic - 10 cloves |
Onion - 1 no (sliced) |
Green Chili - 3 to 4 no (slit) |
Mint Leaves - 1\4 tsp |
Coriander Leaves - 1\4 tsp |
Coconut Milk - 2 and 1\4 cup |
Salt - as required |
Method : |
Preparation, soak the basmathi rice for 15mins, drain the water and keep aside. |
Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker pan, roast the cinnamon stick and cloves. Add the garlic, onion and green chili, saute until the onion turns translucent. |
Add the mushroom and saute for two minutes. Add the fresh peas and saute for one minute. |
Add the mint and coriander leaves, stir for few seconds. |
Add the soaked basmathi rice, coconut milk and required salt. |
Mix all and cover the pan. Pressure cook for one whistle over high flame and three minutes over simmer. When all the steam has released, open the pan, mix altogether and serve hot. |
Notes: Always open the pressure cooker pan, after the steam released fully. |
