Coconut - 1\4 cup (chopped) |
Ginger - 1 inch |
Green chili - 1 or 2 no |
Oil - 1 tsp |
Mustard Seeds - 1\4 cup |
Urad dal - 1\4 cup |
Curry Leaves - 2 stk |
Salt - as required |
Method : |
Grind the coconut, ginger, green chili and required salt into slightly coarsely paste with required water. Transfer the coconut mixture into a bowl. |
Separately temper the the mustard seeds and urad dal in the hot oil, after splutter add in the curry leaves, stir well and remove from the flame. |
Add the tempered ingredients in to the ground coconut mixture. Mix well and the chutney is ready. |

To temper, heat the oil in a kadhai, add the mustard seeds and urad dal, after splutter add in the curry leaves, stir well and turn off the flame. Then add the tempered ingredients into the ground coconut mixture, mix well and the coconut chutney is ready. |
