Maida - 1 cup |
Butter - 1 tbsp |
Salt - as required |
Ginger - 1 inch |
Garlic - 3 cloves |
Green Chili - 2 no |
Boneless Chicken Pieces - 1 cup |
Fennel Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Garam Masala Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Egg - 1 no |
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped) |
Salt - as required |
Maida Paste - 1 tsp |
Maida - 1\4 cup |
Oil - deep fry |
Method : |
To make the dough, in a mixing bowl, add the maida, butter and required salt, mix well. Then add required water and knead into tight dough. Rest for thirty minutes. |
Grind the ginger, garlic and green chili into paste. Add chicken and grind into paste. |
For chicken mixture, In a mixing bowl, add the ground chicken mixture, fennel seeds powder, garam masala, egg, coriander leaves and required salt, mix well. |
To make chicken pinwheels, using flour, roll out the dough into circle, spread the chicken mixture evenly on top and leaving the sides for one inch space. Roll them into loaf and seal the edges with maida paste. Slice into circle with one inch thickness. Dust the each pinwheels with maida on both sides. |
Deep fry in the oil over medium flame. Cook on both sides until golden colour. |
Notes: Make the dough sift. Don't add water while grinding. Cook the chicken pinwheels in small batches. Instead of butter, can also use vanaspathi. |
