Maida - 1 cup |
Baking Powder - 1\4 tsp |
Cooking Soda - 1\8 tsp |
Salt - 1\8 tsp |
Unsalted Butter - 80 gm |
Icing Sugar - 1\2 cup |
Milk Powder - 1 tbsp |
Rose Essence - few drops |
Freshly Grated Coconut - 1\2 cup |
Method : |
Preparation, sieve the maida, baking powder, cooking soda and salt. Keep aside. |
To make the cookie dough, in a mixing bowl, add the butter and icing sugar, using spatula or electric beater, mix until light and creamy. Add the milk powder and rose essence, mix well. Add the grated coconut and mix well. Then add the sieved flour mixture, mix and knead into dough. |
Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius at convectional mode. |
Grease the baking tray with some butter. Take one tablespoon of dough, shape into ball, place on baking tray. Place the cookies with some space between each other. Flat into circle with fork spoon for about quarter inch thickness. |
Bake for 13 mins (+ or -) or until golden colour. |
Cool the cookies in the tray for about five minute, then cool them completely on the rack. Do the same for the remaining dough. |
Notes: Use all the ingredients at room temperature. To protect the cookies flavor and drying out, tightly wrap with cover and store in a air-tight box. |
