Chicken -500gms (medium cut, washed) |
Lemon Juice - 1 no (approx 2 tbsp) |
Lemon zest - 1\2 tsp |
Turmeric Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Salt - as required |
Green Chili - 2 nos |
Dry Red Chili - 2 nos |
Ginger - 1 " (chopped) |
Garlic - 7 cloves |
Pepper - 1 tsp |
Oil - 1 tbsp |
Unsalted Butter - 2 tbsp |
Method : |
Marinate the chicken pieces with the lemon juice, lemon zest, turmeric powder and required salt for about half an hour. |
To make the masala, grind the green chilies, red chilies, ginger, garlic and pepper into coarsely paste with required water. |
To make the lemon chicken, heat the oil and butter in a kadhai, add the marinated chicken and masala, mix well. Cover and cook over low flame in its moisture, by stirring frequently. Serve hot. |
Notes: Water is not required to cook, if required sprinkle some water and cook. |
