Nazeer and MRS. Zeenath from Ooty. One of their family's secret and authentic recipe. We got permission to share here... Much happy and pride to share this sathu maavu 💪💪💪 to every one.
Highly nutrition health mix for kids and adults, blend of cereals, pulses and millets. Also tasteful, flavorful, homemade, inexpensive and easy available ingredients. It can be given to above 1 year babies and all age peoples. Great breakfast for lazy kids and diet peoples.. With this can also add cashews and almonds. Can be stored up to two months or can also refrigerate for longer days. It can be make with sweet (jaggery, palm jaggery, brown sugar) or savory (pepper and salt). We made half of the mentioned list below. For that we got approx 4 and 1\2 kgs of sathu maavu. With this we can make number of dishes like idly, dosai, adai, puttu, idiyappam, porridge, kali, halwa, laddu, cake, cookies and many more. Health Mix | Saththu Maavu | Homemade 26 Ingredients Health Mix

Ingredients :

Samba Gothumai | Samba Wheat - 1 kg
Siggapu Aval | Flattened Rice - 1\4 kg
Barley - 100 gm
Udaitha Kadalai | Fried Gram - 1\4 kg
Soy Chunks - 100 gm
Pasi Payaru | Green Gram - 1\4 kg
Verkadalai | Groundnuts - 1\4 kg
Kondakadalai | Chickpeas- 1\4 kg
Soya Payaru | White Soya Bean -1\4 kg
Kollu | Horse Gram- 1\2 kg
Jav arisi | Sago - 1\4 kg
Karuppu Ellu | Black Sesames - 1\4 kg
Samai | Little Millet - 1\2 kg
Varagu | Kodu Millet - 1\2 kg
Thinai | Foxtail Millet - 1\2 kg
Kambu | Pearl Millet - 1\4 kg
Kuthiraivali | Barnyard Millet - 1\2 kg
Kelvaragu | Ragi | Finger Millet - 1 kg
Nattu Cholam | Jowar Millet - 1\2 kg
Makka Cholam | Corn - 1\2 kg
Kasa Kasaa | Poppy Seeds - 1\4 kg
Sombu | Fennel Seeds - 50 gms
Sukku | Dry Ginger - 100 gms
Elakkai | Green Cardamoms - 50 gms
Pachai Arisi | Raw Rice - 1\4 kg
Ulundu | Urad Dal - 1\4 kg
Method :
Using heavy kadhai, dry roast all the ingredients separately over medium low flame by stirring continuously. Especially for the corns (makka cholam), dry roast before its get pops. Remaining ingredients are roast them until golden brown colour or until the nice aroma arise.
Spread the roasted ingredients on wide plate to cool.
Once cooled, grind them in a flour mill for fine powder else grind them in a mixie.
Once powdered, it will be hot, again cool on wide plate and store in a air tight container.
Notes: Heavy kadhai helps to roast evenly and easily will not get burnt. While dry roasting, keep stirring continuously to avoid burning.

Hello Raj Mohan sir, S you can take this health mix like adai. Make with some onion, green chili, coriander leaves and vegetables (finely chopped or grated) for better taste. Also we can use greens too. Try and share with us sir..

Hai unknown, Welcome. If the sathu maavu (health mix) ingredients are not roasted well means it might be cause constipation. Could u share how many years old ur girl baby? How much quantity did u give?

Sathu maava kanjia kaachi, sweet or salt serthu, vaarathukku 2 to 3 days kudunga.
Illanaa sathu maava nala varuthu, milk kooda sweet serthu kalanthu kudunga.
