Soya Chunks Cutlets | Meal Maker Cutlets With Potatoes

Ingredients :

Soya Chunks - 1\2 cup
Boiled Potato - 1 no
Oil - 2 tbsp
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Green Chili - 1 no (finely chopped)
Crushed Ginger Garlic - 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1\2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Salt - as required
Garam Masala - 1\2 tsp
Dry Mango Powder - 1\2 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Maida - 2 tbsp
Bread Crumbs - 3 to 4 slices
Oil - shallow fry
Method :
Preparations, soak the soya chunks with hot water for about 15mins. Squeeze out the excess water and grind them, keep aside.
Mash the boiled potato and keep aside.
To make the cutlets mixture, heat the oil in a kadhai, add the onion and green chili, saute until the onion turns translucent. Add the ginger garlic and saute until its raw smell leaves. Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder and required salt. Mix well. Add the ground soya chunks and mashed potato, mix well altogether. Then add the garam masala, dry mango powder and coriander leaves. Mix well, turn off the flame and cool completely.
Mix the maida with quarter cup of water, mix well and keep aside.
To make the cutlets, take some soya-potato mixture, shape into cutlets, dip in the maida-water and cover with bread crumbs. Gently press all the sides to stick the bread crumbs well.
Shallow fry them over medium flame until golden colour. Serve hot.
Notes: To cook the potato in pressure cooker, slice into half, cook for 1 whistle over high flame and 5mins over simmer. When all the steam escaped, open the pan and use.

Cover with bread crumbs and gently press all the sides to stick the bread crumbs well.

Serving Suggestion: Roll with chapathi, mayo and tomato ketchup.
