Maida - 1 and 1\2 cup |
Cooking Soda - generous pinch |
Dry Ginger Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Salt - as required |
Sugar - 2 tsp |
Ghee - 1 tsp |
Mango Paste - 1\2 cup |
Oil - deep fry |
Powdered Sugar With Cardamom - required |
Method : |
To make the mango sweet poori dough, In a mixing bowl, add the maida, cooking soda, dry ginger powder, required salt, sugar and ghee, mix well altogether. Then add the banganapalli mango paste and make dough. If the dough is too sticky, add some flour. Rest the dough for at least thirty minutes. |
To make the poori, take some dough and roll into circle with required flour. |
Deep fry in the oil, cook on both sides. |
While hot, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and serve immediately. |
Notes: Dough is slightly sticky only because of mango and sugar. So don't add more flour to make dough, it will make the poori's in to hard. Also cooking soda helps to make the poori soft. |
