Kadamba | Squid - 250 gms (cleaned, sliced into rings) |
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp |
Turmeric Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Pepper Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Crushed Ginger Garlic - 1 tsp |
Lemon Juice - 2 tsps |
Salt - as required |
Cornflour - 2 tsps |
Maida - 2 tsps |
Rice Flour - 1 tsp |
Grated Coconut - 1\3 cup |
Beaten Egg - required |
Oil - deep fry |
Method : |
Marinate the kadamba with the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, ginger garlic, lemon juice and salt for about ten minutes. |
Heat enough oil to deep fry the kadamba. |
Add the cornflour, maida, rice flour, grated coconut and required beaten egg in to the marinated kadamba and mix well. |
Deep fry them in a small batches and cook over medium flame until golden brown. |
Notes: here cornflour-maida-rice flour-coconut used for crispy texture. Mix the flour mixture and deep fry them immediately in batches for more crispy. Its crispy while hot and once cooled, might turn rubbery. |
