Ring Murukku | Moru Moru Jeera Ring Murukku Recipe - South Indian Special - Easy Diwali Snack. Very simple and easy ring murukku. Its crunchy, made with the main ingredient of rice flour and cumin seeds. This was my first try and came out perfectly. Ring Murukku | Moru Moru Jeera Ring Murukku Recipe

Ingredients :

Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Water - 1 cup
Salt - as required
Red Chili Powder or Chili Flakes - 1\2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Asafoetida - 1\4 tsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Cooking Soda - 1\4 tsp
Pachai Arisi Maavu | Raw Rice Flour - 1 cup
Method :
Dry roast the cumin seeds in a kadai. Grind into coarsely and keep aside.
To make the ring murukku dough, heat the water in a pan, add the salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, butter and coarsely ground cumin seeds. Mix well and bring to boil.
Turn off the flame, add the cooking soda and mix well. Then the rice flour and mix altogether. Cool them and knead into soft dough. (If required add boiling water)
Make rings out of the dough.
Deep fry the rings in the oil, cook over medium flame until the ishhhh sound stop, in small batches. Ready.
Notes: cool the dough and knead the dough well to avoid breaking.
