Prawn - 250 gms (cleaned) |
Maida - 2 tbsps |
Beaten Egg - 1 no |
White Pepper Powder - 1 tsp |
Salt - as required |
Oil - to fry |
Butter - 1 tbsp |
Sweet Lime Juice - 1 cup |
Lemon Juice - 1 no |
Lemon zest - 1\2 tsp |
White Pepper Powder - 1\8 tsp |
Salt - as required |
Sugar - 1\2 tsp |
Fresh Cream - 2 tbsps |
Method : |
Marinate the prawns with the maida, egg, white pepper powder and required salt for about ten minutes. Deep fry the marinated prawns. |
To make the citrus sauce, melt the butter in a pan, add in the sweet lime juice, lemon juice, white pepper powder, required salt and sugar. Mix and cook over medium low flame. When the sauce reduced into half of its quantity, add the fresh cream, mix and remove from the flame. |
Serve the fried prawn and citrus sauce together. |
Notes: Can also grill the prawns. We can also add some orange juice and pineapple pieces into the sauce. |
