Sathu Maavu Idli | Health Mix Idli With Homemade Health Mix Powder

Ingredients :

Sathu Maavu | Health Mix Powder - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tsps
Mustard Seeds - 1\2 tsp
Kadalai Paruppu | Bengal Gram - 1 tbsp
Ulundam Paruppu | Urad Dal - 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts - 2 tbsp (roughly chopped)
Ginger - 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Green Chili - 1 no (finely chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsps (chopped)
Curry Leaves - 2 sticks
Fresh Curd - 1 and 1\2 cups
Cooking Soda - 1\4 tsp
Salt - as required
Water - as required
Method :
Heat ghee in a kadhai, temper the mustard seeds, after crackled add the bengal gram and urad dal, saute until golden colour. Add the cashews and saute until golden colour. Add the ginger, green chili, coriander leaves and curry leaves, stir until its raw smell leaves. Add the health mix powder, stir until its aroma arise well. Turn off the flame and bring to cool.
To make the idli batter, in a mixing bowl, add the health mix powder mixture, curd, cooking soda, required salt and required water, mix well into idli batter consistency. Let it soak for about twenty minutes.
Fill the required batter in the idli moulds, steam for about 15 to 20mins and serve hot.
