Oil - 2 tbsps |
Cinnamon Stick - 2 " long |
Cloves - 4 nos |
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped) |
Curry Leaves - 1 stick |
Ginger Garlic - 1 tbsp (crushed) |
Tomato - 1 no (chopped) |
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp |
Turmeric Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Fennel Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Fresh Butter Beans - 350 gms (with skin) | approx 200 gms (without skin) |
Water - 1 cup |
Salt - as required |
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsps (chopped) |
Method : |
Heat the oil in a pressure cooker pan, add the cinnamon stick, cloves, onion and curry leaves, saute until the onion turns slightly golden color. Add the ginger garlic, saute until its raw smell leaves. Add the tomato and saute until it tuns into soft. |
Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, fennel seeds powder and cumin seeds powder, stir few seconds. Add the fresh butter beans and stir them for few seconds. |
Add the water and required salt, mix and bring to boil. Pressure cook for one whistle over high flame and five minutes over low flame. |
When all the steam has released, open the pan. Again cook the butter beans until dry. Finally mix the coriander leaves and serve hot. |
Notes:Always open the pressure cooker pan, after all the steam has released. |
