Tamarind - 1 " ball size |
Jaggery or Palm Jaggery (karuppatti) - 2 tbsps |
Dry Ginger | Sukku - 1 " |
Cardamoms - 3 nos |
Pepper - 5 nos |
Water - 2 cups + extra |
Lemon Juice - 1\4 no |
Method : |
Soak the tamarind and jaggery separately for about 10 minutes. Then dissolve them in the water and keep aside. |
Grind the dry ginger, caradamoms and pepper into coarse mixture by using mortar and pestle. |
In a mixing bowl, add two cups of water, dissolved tamarind and jaggery, crushed masalas and lemon juice. Mix well. |
Strain and serve it. |
Notes: Adjust the water and spices as per your taste. |
