Ingredients :

Kaadai - 3 nos
Turmeric Powder - 1\2 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1\2 no
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Coconut - 2 tbsps
Poppy Seeds - 1 tsp
Oil - shallow fry
Oil - 2 tbsps
Cinnamon Stick - 2" long
Cloves - 7 nos
Cardamoms - 3 nos
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Green Chilies - 2 nos
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Tomato - 1 no (chopped)
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\2 tsp
Water - 1 cup
Salt - as required
Method :
Marinate the kaadai with turmeric powder, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste and required salt for about half an hour. Then shallow fry them and keep aside.
Grind the coconut and poppy seeds into fine paste with required water and keep aside.
To make the kaadai gravy, heat the oil in a same kadhai, add the cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamoms, onion and green chilies, saute until the onion turns slightly golden colour. Add the ginger garlic paste and kaadai marinated masala (optional), saute until its raw smell leaves completely. Add the tomato and saute until it turns soft. Add the red chili powder and turmeric powder, stir few seconds. Then add the water and required salt. Mix altogether and bring to boil. Add the fried kaadai, cook for about ten minutes over low flame, by stirring frequently.
Serve hot.
