Sankara Fish Fry | Sankara Meen Varuval With Onion And Tamarind

Ingredients :

Sankara Meen - 8 pieces
Sambar Onion - 10 to 12 nos
Ginger - 1 "
Garlic Cloves - 7 nos
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Seeds Powder -  1 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Fennel Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\2 tsp
Salt - as required
Tamarind Water - 1 or 2 tbsps
Besan Flour - 1 tbsp
Rice Flour - 1 tbsp
Corn Flour - 1 tbsp
Salt - generous pinch
Oil - shallow fry
Method :
To make the masala, grind the sambar onion, ginger, garlic, red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder, fennel seeds powder, turmeric powder, required salt and tamarind water into fine paste.
Marinate the sankara fish pieces with the ground masala for about half an hour.
Mix the besan flour, rice flour, corn flour and salt separately. Coat the mixed flour mixture on the marinated fish pieces.
Shallow fry them and serve hot.
Notes: Adjust the masala's as per your taste. Outer flour mixture helps to seal the masala well inside.
