Ingredients : |
Wheat Flour | Maida - 1 cup |
Baking Powder - 1\2 tsp |
Cooking Soda - 1\4 tsp |
Nattu Sakkarai | Brown Sugar - 1\2 cup |
Cardamom Seeds - 5 nos |
Chopped Jack Fruit - 1\4 cup |
Melted Unsalted Butter - 60 gms |
Curd - 1\2 cup |
Milk - 1\2 cup |
Method : |
Preparations, grease and dust 4 bowls (approx 1\2 cup size) with some butter and wheat flour. Add one teaspoon of nattu sakkarai to each bowls and keep aside. |
Sieve the wheat flour, baking powder and cooking soda. |
Grind the nattu sakkarai and cardamom seeds into powder. Add in jackfruit and again grind into paste. |
To make the cupcakes batter, mix the melted butter, ground paste, curd and milk in a mixing bowl. |
Add the sieved flour mixture and mix altogether. If the batter is too thick, add required milk. |
Add the batter into the prepared bowls. |
Steam for about twenty to twenty five minute over medium flame. |
Once steamed, let cool the cakes in the cup for about five minutes and then demold. |
Serve warm. |
Notes: If the cupcakes batter is too thick, add some required milk. |
