Tandoori Prawns | Eraal Tandoori | Grilled Prawns - Tender, Juicy and flavorful.

Learn how to make delicious restaurant style tandoori prawn at home with this simple recipe. One of the most popular prawn appetizers. Its marinated in spiced curd masala and baked in an oven.

We can make this tandoori prawns in an oven or on gas stove in regular pan. Similarly can also make with the chicken or paneer. Serve as a starter or as a side dish with a meal.

Step By Step Images:

Firstly mix the red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and pepper powder in a mixing bowl.
Add in some water and mix into thin paste
Heat the oil in a kadai, pour the masala paste
cook until it raw smell leaves and turned into thick paste consistency. And let cool down completely
Add in the ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, hung curd (curd has been strained of all the liquid), kasoori methi and required salt as well.
Mix altogether. Taste the marinade and add any ingredient needed to suit your taste like salt, lemon juice or red chili powder.
Add the prawns (make sure has no dripping water) and mix all well. Let marinate for about 30 minutes so that the masala reaches deep inside. Dont need to refrigerate and let sit in the room temperature.
Insert the skewers in the marinated prawns. To bake, preheat the oven to 220 degree Celsius.
Place the prawn skewers over a baking rack. Bake for about 15 mins. Turn all the prawns and then brush some butter or oil all over.
Bake for another 10 to 12 mins until fully cooked through. That's all.

Notes: Hung curd is nothing but curd has been strained of all the liquid. Always taste the marinade and add any ingredient needed to suit your taste like salt, lemon juice or red chili powder. Don't need to refrigerate the marination.
