Simple and Easy - Idli Podi | இட்லி பொடி
Ingredients :
Urad Dal - 1/2 cup
Dry Red Chili - 3 to 5 no
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Salt to Taste.
Steps To Make Idli Podi
:
Dry roast the urad dal and red chili in hot kadai for 5mins (+ or -) over simmer or until the light brown colour. (Image 1)
Add asafoetida and curry leaves and saute for about 2mins. (Image 2)
Add salt and saute for few seconds, remove from the flame and allow to cool completely. (Image 3 and 4)
Then grind all the roasted ingredients into powder and store in a air tight container box.
Self life is around 3months.
Serving Suggestion : Serve with Idli and Dosai.
