Egg-less Morris Banana and Walnut Cookies

Ingredients :

Morris Banana - 1/2 no (smashed)
Butter - 50 gm
Brown Sugar - 50 gm
Maida \ All Purpose Flour - 100 gm
Baking Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cooking Soda - 1/8 tsp
Walnut - 2 tbsp (roughly chopped)
Salt - 1 pinch
Method :

Steps To Make Morris Banana and Walnut Cookies :

  • Melt the butter with brown sugar over simmer. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Add the smashed banana, mix well, cook till the sugar melts and allow to cool completely. (Image 3 and 4)

  • Meantime sieve the maida along with baking powder, cooking soda and salt for 2 to 3 times.
  • Then combine the sieved flour and cooled butter-banana mixture, knead gently and make the dough. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Refrigerate the dough for half an hour.
  • Roll the dough into 1/4 cm thickness and cut into desired shape. (Image 7)
  • Bake in the pre-heated oven for 15mins (+ or -) at 180 degree Celsius. (Image 8 and 9)
  • Cool on the rack and store in a air-tight container. (Image 10)

Serving Suggestion :

Serve with Chocolate Syrup or Ice Cream.

  1. Since I cannot find Morris bananas where I live, I will have to use another kind. How much smashed banana should I ad? Thanks
