Simple Chocolate Cups with Mousse Recipe - New Year Special



Ingredients :

Chocolate Cups :

Cooking Chocolate
Paper Cups and Balloons.

Mousse

Egg Yolk - 1 no
Brown Sugar - 2 tbsp
Gelatin - 1/2 tsp
Fresh Cream - 1/2 cup 
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Warm Water - 2 tbsp

Method :

Steps To Make Chocolate Cups : (shown in above image)
  • Melt the chocolate by double boiler method and allow to cool little. (Image 1 and 2)
  • For Paper Cups : Brush the paper cups and refrigerate for few minutes and remove the paper carefully and keep aside. (Image 3 and 4)
  • For Balloons : Fill the each balloon with air and tie off with a knot. Grease the half balloon with the vegetable oil. Dip the balloon in melted-cooled chocolate, place on waxed paper or parchment paper and refrigerate for few minutes, then pin into the balloons and carefully remove it and keep aside (Image 3 and 4)
The balloons will burst if the melted chocolate is too warm.

Steps To Make Mousse : (shown in above image)
  • Soak the gelatin in warm water. (Image 1)
  • Whisk the egg yolk and brown sugar by double boiler method til light and foamy. (Image 2 and 3)
  • Add the gelatin-water and mix well. (Image 4)
  • Add fresh cream and vanilla essence, mix well and keep aside. (Image 5 and 6)

Fill the chocolate cups with mousse and refrigerate till sets. (shown in above image)
