Ingredients :

Vazhakkai | Raw Banana - 1 no
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Fennel Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1\2 tsp
Dry Mango Powder | Amchur Powder - 1\2 tsp
Chat Masala - 1\2 tsp
Rice Flour - 1 tbsp
Crushed Garlic - 2 to 3 cloves
Green Chili - 1 no (finely chopped)
Cashews - 10 (broken)
Raisins - 1 or 2 tbsp (chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Oil for deep fry
Salt to taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Vazhakkai Cutlet | Raw Banana Kebab:

  • Cut the vazhakkai into half and pressure cook for 1 whistle and 3 minutes over simmer with two cups of water. When all the steam has escaped, open the pan and cool them. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Then remove the vazhakkai skin and grate without lumps. (Image 3)

  • To make the cutlet, In a mixing bowl, add the grated vazhakkai and all other remaining ingredients except oil. (Image 4)
  • Then mix well, make small ball and flat into circle. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Then deep fry in the hot oil over medium flame until golden brown colour. (Image 7)
  • Ready to serve.
