Ingredients : |
Raw Rice Flour | Pacharisi - 1 cup |
Grated Coconut - 3\4 cup |
Sugar - 1\2 cup (+ or -) |
Cardamom - 3 pods |
Water - 1 and 1\4 cup to 1 and 1\2 cup |
Salt - 2 pinch |
Method : |
To make the kozhukattai dough, boil the water in a pan with salt. In a mixing bowl, add the flour and boiling water (+ or -), Using ladle, knead into soft dough and keep aside to cool little. |
To make the pooranam | stuffing, combine the coconut and sugar in a bowl, mix well altogether and keep aside. |
To make the kozhukattai, take a lemon size dough, flat into circle with some ghee, then stuff a tablespoon of pooranam and make desired shape. (shown in above image) |
Steam in the idly pan for ten minutes over medium flame and ready. Similarly you can also steam in the pressure cooker pan without whistle. Happy Vinayagar Chathurthi ! |
