Simple Beetroot Poriyal II | செங்கிழங்கு பொரியல் II - Kadai Method



Ingredients :

Simple Beetroot Poriyal II | செங்கிழங்கு பொரியல் II - Kadai Method

Grated Beetroot - 250gm (skin peeled)
Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Green Chili - 2 no (chopped)
Coconut - 1/4 cup (grated)
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - 1 stk
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt to Taste.

Steps To Make Beetroot Poriyal : (Images 1 to 6)
  • Heat oil in a kadai \ frying pan, temper mustard seeds and urad dal. (Image 1)
  • After crackled add onion, green chili and curry leaves, saute till the onion becomes light golden brown colour. (Image 2)
  • Add grated beetroot and saute for about 8 to 10mins over simmer or till done, stirring frequently. (Image 3 and 4)
  • Add grated coconut, mix well, remove from the flame and ready to serve. (Image 5 and 6)

Serving Suggestion : Serve with Dal Rice or Sambar Rice.
