Paruppu Adai / Mixed Lentils Adai


Ingredients :

Paruppu Adai / Mixed Lentils Adai

Split Black Gram / Urad Dal / Ulundu - 1/4 cup
Split Bengal Gram / Kadalai Paruppu - 1/4 cup
Split Red Gram / Thuvaram Paruppu - 1/4 cup
Split Green Gram / Pasi Paruppu - 1/4 cup
Boiled Rice / Pulungal Arisi - 1 cup
Samll Onion - 15 nos (chopped)
Dry Red Chili - 3 nos
Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Water -1 cup (+ or -)
Curry Leaves - 1 stks.

Method :

  • First Soak Boiled Rice / Pulungal Arisi for 2 hours to 3 hours.
  • Then Soak Green Gram, Red Gram, Bengal Gram and Black Gram for 1 hour. (else soak all Grams and Rice altogether)

Paruppu Adai / Mixed Lentils Adai

  • Now drain all Water, grind soaked 4 types Grams, Boiled Rice, Dry Red Chili, Asafoetida and required Salt into coarsely.
  • Then add Small Onion and Curry Leaves, grind little.

  • Now heat Tawa, make Adai with Ghee or Oil, cook for 5mins to 7mins in medium flame and ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Coconut Chutney
