Poached Pears with Indian Spices


Ingredients :

Poached Pears with Indian Spices

Pears - 3 nos (peeled, sliced and cored)
Sugar - 1/2 cup 
Lemon Juice - 1/2 no
Cinnamon Stick - 2" long
Marati Moogu - 1 no
Cloves - 3 nos
Star Anise - 1 no
Cardamon - 2 nos
Ginger - 2" long
Water - 3 cups
Pinch of Salt 

Method :

Poached Pears with Indian Spices

  • Boil Water with all ingredients except pears.

Poached Pears with Indian Spices

  • Then add pears, bring to boil.
  • Pressure Cook for 1 whistle and 10mins in simmer.

Poached Pears with Indian Spices

  • When all the steam has escaped, open pressure cooker and ready to serve.

Poached Pears with Indian Spices

Serving Suggestion : Serve with Ice cream.
