Ingredients :

Ellu Urundai | Sesame Seeds Laddu | எள்ளு உருண்டை | Vinayagar \ Ganesh Chaturthi Recipe

Sesame Seeds / Ellu - 1 cup (black or white)
Jaggery - 1 cup
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Water - 1/4 cup

Method :

  • Dissolve jaggery in boiling water (1/4 cup).

  • Dry roast sesame seeds for 1/2 a minute in simmer (not burn).

Steps To Make Ellu Urundai :
  • Filter jaggery syrup in a kadai, heat and bring to boil and cook until thick syrup (shown in above image 1 and 2).
  • Add roasted sesame seeds and mix well, stirring continuously in a medium flame til all becomes together, allow to cool little, shape into small balls and ready to serve.
