Radish Greens | Mullangi Keerai - 2 cups (washed and chopped)
Bengal Gram | Kadalai Paruppu - 1/4 cup
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Shallots - 1/4 cup (chopped)
Garlic - 5 cloves (mashed)
Dry Red Chilli - 2 no (slit)
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to Taste. |
- First pressure cook the bengal gram \ kadalai paruppu and keep aside.

Steps To Make The Radish Greens \ Mullangi Keerai Poriyal :
- In a kadhai, temper the mustard seeds and urad dal in a hot oil, after splutter, saute the shallots, garlic and dry red chili till the onion turn light brown color. (Image 1)
- Add the radish greens \ mullangi keerai, mix well and cover and allow it to cook in its own moisture until very tender over simmer, add the required salt in between. (Image 2 and 3)
- Then stir in the bengal gram \ kadalai paruppu. (Image 4)
- Finally add the coconut and mix well together all the ingredients, remove from the flame and ready to serve.
