Instant Aval Varagu Dosai | Puli Kara Dosa without fermentation

Instant dosa with easy step by step images, instruction and YouTube video. Made with the main ingredients of poha, varagu \ koda flour and rice flour. Best alternative for our traditional dosa. Its little bit sour and spicy, simple coconut chutney will goes well for this. Follow the recipe as below..

First, in a bowl, add poha, dry red chilli and tamarind piece. Add in the required water and let it soak for about fifteen mins or until cool down.

Grind the soaked ingredient and fennel seeds

In to smooth batter with required water.

Transfer the batter into a mixing bowl, add the rice flour, kodo flour and salt to taste.

Mix by adding water little by little as required. Batter should be runny consistency, so that while we pour the batter, it should spread by itself.

Heat the tawa, take a laddle full of batter, pour it first int the outer circle, then pour to fill in the center (like rava dosa). Cook over medium-high flame. Drizzle some oil.

When the edges turn brownish colour, flip and cook further.

Serve hot.

Aval | Poha - 1\2 cup
Dry Red Chili - 1no
Tamarind - 1\4 inch ball size piece
Fennel Seeds - 1\4 tsp
Rice Flour - 1\4 cup
Varagu Flour \ Kodo Flour - 1\4 cup
Salt
Water

Method :
