Mint - Coriander Mutton Masala Sukka

Ingredients :

Mint - Coriander Mutton Masala Sukka Ingredients

Mutton - 200gm (boneless, chopped into bite size)
Red Chili Powder - 3/4 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
Shallots - 100 gm (or) Big Onion - 1 no (chopped)
Tomato - 1 no (small, chopped)
Garlic - 5 Cloves (finely chopped)
Green Chili - 1 no (finely chopped)
Ginger Garlic paste - 1/4 tsp
Mint Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (chopped)
Coconut Paste - 1 tbsp
Water - 3/4 cup
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste.

Method :

Steps To Make Mutton Masala Sukku :
  • Pressure cook the mutton with red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds powder, pepper powder, required salt ( for mutton) and water for 1 whistle and 15min in simmer.
  • When all the steam has escaped, open the pressure cooker and keep aside.

  • Meantime heat oil in a pan, add garlic and green chili, saute for few seconds.
  • Add onion, stir well and cook until the onion becomes slightly golden brown colour.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute until its raw smell leaves.
  • Add tomato and saute until the tomato becomes tender.

  • Add coconut paste and mix well.
  • Add coriander leaves and mint leaves stir well and cook for few Min's.
  • Now add pressure cooked mutton, stir well and cook until the water has reduced completely. (shown in below image)

  • And now ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with Mutton Curry / Kulambu, Coconut Mutton Curry , Mutton Gravy or Rasam.
