Homemade Deep Fried Donuts / Doughnuts without Yeast

Ingredients :

Donuts

Maida / All Purpose Flour / Plain Flour - 2 and 1/2 cup
Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
Baking Powder - 2 tsp
Milk - 1/4 cup (+ or -)
Egg - 1 no
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Butter - 3 tbsp (melted or Oil)

Topping :

Powdered Sugar - 2 tbsp
Cinnamon Powder - 1/2 tsp

Method :

Steps To Make The Donut Dough : (shown in above image)
  • Sift the flour, baking powder and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg and butter (melted or oil) together, then mix with flour-sugar mixture.
  • Then add the milk (+ or -) and knead the dough until smooth (if the dough is too sticky, add some flour).
  • Refrigerate the dough for half an hour.

Steps To Make The Donut : (shown in above image)
  • After refrigerated, roll out the dough into 1/8 or 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
  • Cut into the doughnut shape.
  • Deep fry in the hot oil, until golden brown colour on both side.
  • Then topping with sugar-cinnamon mixture and ready to serve.

Homemade Deep Fried Donuts / Doughnuts without Yeast

Serving Suggestion : Serve with Chocolate Sauce or Butter Cream.
