Mudakathan Keerai - 1 cup (thick stem removed)
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Tamarind Ball - 1 and 1/2 " ball size
Urad Dal - 2 tbsp
Dry Red Chili - 3 to 4 no
Oil - 3 tsp
Salt to Taste. |
Steps To Make The Mooligai Mudakathan Keerai Thuvaiyal :
- Heat a tsp of oil in a kadai \ frying pan, saute the urad dal and dry red chili till the urad dal becomes golden colour and keep aside. (Image 1)
- Then again heat a tsp of oil and saute the tamarind for half a minute, keep aside. (Image 2)
- Similarly heat a tsp of oil, add the mudakathan keerai and saute for an minute or till the raw smell leaves completely. (Image 3 and 4)
- Add coconut, saute for few seconds and allow to cool completely. (Image 5 and 6)

- To make the thuvaiyal, grind the urad dal and dry red chili into powder. (Image 7 and 8)
- Add in remaining ingredients (madakathan keerai, coconut and tamaind ball) with required salt, grind into fine paste with required water and ready. (Image 9 and 10)
- Refrigerate up to a week.

Serving Suggestion :
Serve with Dosa or Idli. |
