Ingredients :

Sweet Corn - 1 no
Garlic - 5 cloves
Ginger - 1 inch
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Besan flour - 1/4 cup
Rice Flour - 2 tbsp
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Green Chilli - 1 no (finely chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
Oil for deep fry
Salt - required

Method :

Steps To Make The Sweet Corn Vadai :

  • Cook the sweet corn in a pressure cooker pan with a cup of water for 1 whistle, when all the steam has released open. (Image 1)
  • Take out the kernel.
  • Then grind the corn kernels with garlic, ginger, fennel seeds and required salt coarsely. (Image 2 and 3)
  • To make the vadai dough, mix the ground corn paste with besan flour, rice flour, onion, green chilli and coriander leaves in a mixing bowl. (Image 4 and 5)
  • Divide the dough into 12 or more balls and flat into circle.
  • Deep fry the vadai in a hot oil till golden brown colour on both sides and ready to serve. (Image 6)

Serving Suggestion : Serve hot with any Tea, Coffee or Kootu.
