Moru Moru Verkadalai Murukku | Easy Crunchy Peanut Murukku Recipe

Pachai Verkadalai \ Raw Peanut - 1/2 cup
Rice Flour \ Pachai Arisi Maavu - 1 cup
Green Chilli - 2 no
Omam - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
Salt to Taste. |
Steps To Make The Verkadalai Murukku Dough :
- Soak the verkadalai with enough water for about two hours. (Image 1)

- Then drain the water and grind the soaked verkadalai with green chilli into fine paste. (Image 2 and 3)
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground verkadalai paste, rice flour, omam, asafoetida and required salt, knead into soft dough. If the dough is too hard, add some water. (Image 4 and 5)

- Heat oil in a kadhai to deep fry the murukku.
- Meantime, take some dough and fill the dough in murukku maker and use 1-star plate. (Image 6)
- Make murukku on slightly greased plates like spiral. (Image 7)
- When the oil is hot, drop a small piece of dough, if it begin to sizzle immediately, the oil is ready for frying.
- Then carefully drop the murukku's in oil one by one. Cook on both side until golden colour. (Image 8)
- Drain the excess oil and place them on a kitchen towel to absorb excess oil. Cool completely and store in a air-tight container box.
