Homemade Instant Paneer Rose Gulkand is also called as rose jam. Its very popular in India. Its made from the fresh rose petals | roja ithalgal, nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachio) and simple ingredients, also sweetened with sugar, you can also use rock sugar. Now follow the recipe as below...

Ingredients :

Homemade Gulkand
Fresh Paneer Rose | Paneer Roja
Sugar
Almonds - 10 nos
Cashew nuts - 10 nos
Pistachio - 10 nos
Cardamoms - 3 nos
Poppy Seeds - 1 tsp
Saffrons - generous pinch (optional)
Ghee - 1 tbsp

Method :

Steps To Make The Homemade Instant Rose Petals Gulakand :

  • Separate the petals from the paneer roses. (Image 1)
  • Wash and drain the excess water. (Image 2)
  • Then measure the petals, for one heaped cup of petals, 3/4th cup of sugar is required. Hence measure the petals and sugar. (Image 3)

  • Also crush the badam, cashews, pista and cardamom altogether and keep aside.
  • Grind the measured rose petals and sugar into fine paste. Don't use water. (Image 5 and 6)

  • To make the instant gulkand, heat a tablespoon of ghee in a hot kadhai \ pan. (Image 7)
  • Add in the ground rose petal-sugar mixture, crushed nuts mixture, poppy seeds and saffron. (Image 8)
  • Mix well and cook over medium flame till thick like halwa consistency, it takes around 3 to 4 minutes only. (Image 9)
  • Cool completely, once cooled its becomes little thick and then store in a air-tight box.
