Ingredients :

Broccoli paratha recipe
Broccoli - 1 small
Cinnamon Stick - 2" long
Cloves - 2 nos
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Raisins - 2 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Butter - required
Salt to Taste.

Basic Dough :


Maida or Wheat Flour - 1 and 1/2 cup
Oil or Butter - 1 tbsp
Water - required
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Preparation :

  • To make the dough, In a mixing bowl, combine the flour with butter and salt, mix well. Then add the required water and knead into soft dough. Cover and rest the dough for about thirty minutes.

Steps To Make The Broccoli Paratha :

  • Immerse the broccoli in the salted water for about ten minutes. (Image 1)
  • Then take out the broccoli, grate them and keep aside. (Image 2)

  • To make the stuffing, heat oil in a hot kadhai \ pan, roast the cinnamon stick, cloves and fennel seeds. (Image 1)
  • Add in the onion and saute until the onion turns slightly golden colour. (Image 4)
  • Stir in the ginger garlic paste till its raw smell leaves. (Image 5)
  • Add in the grated broccoli and cook for about two to three minutes. (Image 6)
  • Add in the red chili powder, cumin seeds powder, turmeric powder and required salt, mix well and cook till its raw smell leaves. (Image 7)
  • Finally stir in the raisins, turn off the flame and cool completely. Then take out the cinnamon stick and cloves. Now the broccoli stuffing is ready. (Image 8)

  • To make the broccoli paratha, divide the prepared dough into six equal parts or required size.
  • Take one part of the dough, flatten and stuff with little broccoli mixture. Seal and press between your palms. (Image 9 and 10)
  • Using flour, roll into round shape. (Image 11)
  • Cook on a heated tawa on both sides using ghee till the brown spots appear. (Image 12)
  • Do the same procedure with the remaining dough-and-broccoli mixture.
