Ingredients :

Kambu | Pearl Millet | Bajra - 1\2 cup
Sambar Onion | Shallots - 1\4 cup (chopped)
Green Chili - 1 no (finely chopped)
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - 1\4 tsp
Curry Leaves - 2 stk (chopped)
Coriander Leaves - 4 to 5 stk (chopped)
Oil for deep fry
Salt to Taste.

Method :

Steps To Make The Kambu Vadai:

  • Wash and soak the kambu for 6 to 8 hours or overnight. (Image 1)
  • Drain the water and grind the soaked kambu coarsely. (Image 2 and 3)
  • To make the kambu vadai mixture, combine the ground kambu, sambar onion, green chili, fennel seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, coriander leaves and required salt, mix well. (Image 4)

  • To make the vadai, heat enough oil in a kadhai and make vadai, cook on both sides until golden brown colour and ready to serve.
