Ingredients :

cabbage Kosu Pakkoda
Cabbage | Kosu - 1 cup (thinly sliced, washed)
Kadalai Maavu | Besan Flour - 3\4 cup
Arisi Maavu | Rice Flour - 1\4 cup
Butter - 1 tbsp
Shallots | Sambar Onion - 1\2 cup
Green Chili - 1 no (finely chopped)
Crushed Garlic - 3 no
Crushed Ginger - 1 "
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - 1\4 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Curry Leaves - 2 stk
Salt to Taste
Oil for deep fry.

Method :

Steps To Make The Pakkoda:

  • In a mixing bowl, first mix the kadalai maavu, arisi maavu, butter and required salt, mix well. (Image 1 and 2)
  • Add the shallots, green chili, ginger, garlic, fennel seeds, asafoetida, coriander leaves and curry leaves, mix well altogether. (Image 3 and 4)

  • Then add the chopped cabbage and mix well. (Image 5 and 6)
  • Then sprinkle some water and mix altogether. (Image 7)

  • Make pakkoda in the hot oil in small batches and cook till golden brown colour. (Image 8 and 9)
  • Drain the excess oil by using tissue and store in a air-tight box. (Image 10)
