Paneer Do Pyaza Recipe - North Indian Style Paneer Do Pyaza Recipe. In this recipe onion is used at two stage, one is added at cooking stage and another is added at last. Also the paneer cooked in rich creamy gravy with simple ingredients. This dish totally different from butter paneer masala dish. Ingredients :

Paneer - 200 gm (1" cut)
Large Onion - 1 no (sliced)
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Large Onion - 1 no (square cut)
Bangalore Tomato - 2 no (square cut)
Crushed Ginger - 1 tsp
Crushed Garlic - 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1 and 1\2 tsp
Coriander Seeds Powder - 1 and 1\2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1\4 tsp
Cumin Seeds Powder - 1\2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1\2 tsp
Fresh Cream - 1\4 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
Salt To Taste
Butter - 1 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbsp + extra to fry.
Method :

Steps To Make The Paneer Do Pyaza:

To make the brown onion, wash and drain the sliced onion well, then deep fry in the oil till golden brown colour with two pinch of salt and keep aside.
To make the gravy, heat the butter and oil in a kadhai, temper the cumin seeds, after splutter add the square onion, cook till golden colour. Add the tomato, stir for an minute. Then add the ginger and garlic, cook till its raw smell leaves and the tomato turns soft. Add the red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and required salt, mix well and stir for few seconds.
Add one and half cup of water and mix well. Bring to boil and cook for 3 to 5 mins. Then add the fresh cream and mix well. Then add the paneer, mix well and cook for an minute. Finally add the brown onion and coriander leaves, mix well and ready.
My Notes: To make the brown onion, cook the onion over simmer to get evenly brown colour.
Serving Suggestion: Serve the paneer do pyaza with the chapathi, poori or naan.

Variation: Instead of paneer, you can also use mushroom, bindi, chicken or mutton. But the cook time will vary for each other.
